Obituary

Hubert-Robert Lee Haskell, 79, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Naval Hospital aboard Camp Lejeune. He was born May 14, 1947, in Lansing MI, a son of the late Clifford M. and Dorothy Mae Whitney Haskell.

A funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at Bear Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony Lominac officiating. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Robert faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps for over 30 years, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant, to those who knew him, however, his greatest accomplishment was the love he gave to others. He never met a stranger, would help anyone in need. He deeply loved his family, treasured every moment spent with them, and leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished for generations.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Katrina H. Haskell of Hubert; children, Robert Terry Haskell (Jamie) of Hubert, Keith Haskell (Donna) of Hubert, and Brandon Haskell of Hubert; grandchildren: Jonathan, Keith John, Victoria, Bailey, Ayden, Rayne, and Noah; ten great grandchildren; and sister, Cheryl Haskell (Larry Dobois) of Lansing, MI.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lon and Valerie.
