JACKSONVILLE - Bobby Kellum was born August 6, 1962, in Covington, Ky., and was the eldest son of Bob and Rose Kellum of Jacksonville, NC. Bobby is survived by his greatest love and legacy in his family: his wife of 39 years, June Iuni Fetui-Kellum; eldest son Charles Crosby Kellum, son William Robert Fetui Kellum and Ericca Nicole Kellum, son Michael Joseph Kellum, son John Ross Kellum and Mikaela Christine Caponi-Kellum of Awendaw SC, daughter Elizabeth Claire Kellum of London England; 7 beloved grandchildren: William Robert Fetui Kellum Jr, Iosefa John Lee Kellum, Uliuli Dominique Brandin Kellum, Caliah June Kellum, Mikaele Anthony Scott Kellum, Sosefina Christine Kellum, Johnny Alfonso Kellum, his mother Rose Nell Wallace-Kellum, his sister Amy Renee Kellum of Waukegan IL, his brother Ronald William Kellum and Debra Jean Brown-Kellum of Henderson NV, niece Taylor Janell Kellum of N Las Vegas Nevada, his nephew John William Kellum of Rochester MN.
Bobby was a retired USMC Master Sergeant of 20 years and 21 years working Civil Service as the Protocol Officer aboard Camp Lejeune.
In addition to serving his country, Bobby also served his local community in many ways. He generously volunteered his time with the Carolina Museum of the Marine, the Onslow County Sports Commission, and the East Coast Invitational Basketball Camp - an event that was especially near and dear to his heart.
In accordance with his and his family's wishes, visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where the family will receive friends. Interment, with military honors, will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
A gathering of friends and community will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Angry Ginger in Jacksonville. All are welcome to join family and friends in celebrating Bobby's life.
