Robert "Bob" Lester Burkhart, 84 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday morning at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville from 2;00 – 2:45 PM. Burial will be private per family request.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Wilma Burkhart of the home; sons Robert L. Burkhart, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Georg Scott Burkhart (Cindy) of Havelock, and Byron Burkhart (Tracy) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren Shawn Burkhart (Cassandra), Jordan Burkhart, Joshua Burkhart, Justin Burkhart (Joe), and Kyle Burkhart; great granddaughter Alexis M Burkhart; and brother Richard Burkhart of Swansboro.
