Jacksonville - Robert Andrew Lewis, 91, formerly from Sneads Ferry, earned his heavenly wings on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life for Robert in June.

Robert honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps before his retirement with two tours being in the Vietnam War.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Andrew Lewis II; stepson, Warren Frederick; and grandson, Charles Brandon.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gail Lewis; children, Leona, Michael, Richard, Veronica, and Andrew; daughter-in-law, Nadia; sister, Jean Burton; and many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.
