JACKSONVILLE  -  Robert Joseph Matteson, 49, of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 at his home. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Matteson was born August 2,1975 in Warwick, RI.  He was a bridgebuilder and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Matteson.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Ridder of the home; son, Joseph Matteson of the home; stepchildren, Rachel Marie Gamble of Dayton, OH and Ryan Lee Ridder of Swansboro; five grandchildren; mother and father, Terrie and Butch Matteson of Swansboro; and and one brother, Charles Matteson of Queens Creek.
