JACKSONVILLE - Roland Humphrey, 65, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel, with Revs. Mike Mobley, Braxton Price and Brian Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Humphrey Family Cemetery.
Mr. Humphrey owned and operated Roland Humphrey Drywall; a business he started in 1974 and still is in operation today under the leadership of his family.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bobbi Humphrey of the home; two daughters, Candace Humphrey Young and her husband, Chris and Kimberly Humphrey Clewis and her husband, Jason, all of Jacksonville; four brothers, Nelson, Donald, Glenn and Milton Joe, all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Zelma Parker, both of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Young, Brandon Roger Young, Tyler McKinley Young, Kayla Nicole Clewis and Kacey Elizabeth Clewis; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Young, Jr. and Aydnn Marie Young.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
