Cedar Point- Ronald James Smith, 77, gained his wings and is now with his Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, December 10,2025. He was born on December 14,1947, in Kinston, NC, son of the late Eugene Smith, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Nethercutt Smith.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Ronald was a salesman for many years serving in the automobile industry and also mobile homes. His greatest enjoyment was being surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Thompson Smith of the home; daughter, Donna Andrews (David) of New Orleans, LA; granddaughter, Drewe Apryl Andrews; siblings: Eugene Smith, Jr. of Kinston, Rex Smith (Linda) of Goldsboro, and Elizabeth Ann Smith of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cape Carteret Baptist Church, Youth Ministries, 101 Anita Forte Dr, Cape Carteret, NC 28584.
