FUNERAL TIME HAS CHANGED
Greensboro (Formerly of Cedar Point)- Rose Hardison Helms, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday October 4, 2018 at Heritage Greens. She was born in Robersonville daughter of the late, Mayo and Maude Eva Bennett Hardison.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday October 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Swansboro United Methodist Church in Building 2 with Rev. Lloyd Griffith officiating. A private burial will be at the Borden-Ennett Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 PM at Jones Funeral Home of Swansboro.
Rose developed and designed the role of parent educator at Project Enlightenment and provided parent counseling to hundred of parents and families of young children. She served 20 years and was a tremendous support for many parents in the Raleigh area. Rose later moved to Cedar Point, NC and as a Family Therapist, she counseled families in Craven, Carteret, and Onslow Counties until the age of 84.
She is survived by daughter, Gloria Ennett Daniel (R.L.) of Summerfield; son, William Borden Ennett, II of Cedar Point; step-daughter, Cindy Helms Walker of Tyron; grandchildren, Samuel Borden Ennett, Geoffrey Alexander Daniel, Andrew Ryan Daniel, Samantha Douglas Warden, Emma Miller Warden, Benjamin Dalton Warden, Ian Edward Harrod, Hannah Jessey McDonough Walker, and Dylan James Walker; great grandchildren, Solomon Leif Harrod, Cassidy Rose Ennett, and Caleb Josiah Ennett.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Borden Ennett; second husband, Hugh Douglas Helms; brothers, Leland, Hubert, and Eugene Hardison; sisters, Mildred Lilley, Evelyn James, and Elva Smith; step daughter, Janet Douglas Helms.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Swansboro United Methodist Church Building Fund, 665 W. Corbett Ave. Swansboro, NC 28584, or treasurer at Project Enlightenment Foundation, PO Box 30574, Raleigh, NC 27622-0574.
