Hubert- Roy Howard Jones, 83, passed away at his home on Friday, February 6, 2026, with his wife by his side. He was born January 27,1943, in Wayne County, IL a son of the late Virgil and Pauline Keen Jones.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00pm at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Roy faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps and retired at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. He loved his dogs and spending time watching westerns and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Roberta Jones of the home; stepdaughters, Tina Vesely (Mark) of Hubert and Brandy White of OR; grandchildren: Karl, Sarah, Dylan, Mary, Moses, and Hannah; and siblings, Ivan Jones and Margie Pierce of IL, and Carolyn Barnes of MI.

He was preceded in death by brothers Dale and Bill Jones.
