Rocky Point- Royal Baker Bryan, Jr., 69, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026. He was born August 7, 1956, in Morehead City, NC, son of the late Royal Baker Bryan, Sr. and Elizabeth Grady Bryan.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date at Canady Cemetery in Newport.

Baker served his country in the US Navy and then began a career as a machinist in the concrete industry.

He is survived by children, Brandi Garner and Cassandra Cayton (Kenneth) both of Newport and Jesica Bryan of Lewisburg, WV; grandchildren, Alex Dingman, Tyler Burnette, Isabella Caroll, Carson, and Caleb Cayton; and siblings, Ruby Bryan Bauchman of Wilmington, Clay Bryan of Rocky Point, and Eric Bryan (Martha) of Newport.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Bryan and grandson, Cameron Dingman.
