RICHLANDS, NC - Ruth Fordham Brock Roberts, of Onslow County, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, June 24, 2024 at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, NC. The family will receive friends at home, immediately following the service.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Wadsworth Brock and Caroline May Holmes Brock, sister, Margaret Ann Brock Beaty, and husband, Mark Mason Roberts, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Mark Ervin Roberts, daughter-in-law, Sherry Lee Roberts, granddaughter, Elizabeth Lee Roberts, grandson, Benjamin Wadsworth Brock Roberts, granddaughter-in-law, Savannah Kumpe Roberts, and great-grandson, Rowan Brock Roberts, and by her daughter, Virginia Holmes Roberts Gillespie, son-in-law, Colin Homer Gillespie, granddaughter, Caroline MacPherson Gillespie, and grandson, Fordham Brock Gillespie.

Mrs. Roberts was a graduate of Saint Mary's School, Raleigh, North Carolina and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a former employee of the Onslow County School System and a member of Saint Anne's Episcopal Church.
