RICHLANDS  -  Sammie Piner Salter, 82, of Richlands, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at The Landings in Swansboro, NC. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home, Richlands Chapel with Rev. Shea Gwynn officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Onslow Memorial Park.

Mrs. Salter was born on March 21, 1942 in Pender County, North Carolina to the late Joe Piner and Bethel Brinkley Piner.

She is survived by her children, Dale James of Richlands, Wanda Salter Pierce of Richlands and Janice Hardinson of Sneads Ferry, NC; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, prior to the service, beginning at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
