JACKSONVILLE - Samuel Allen Miller, 56, of Jacksonville, died Monday, March 01, 2010 at his home. Graveside funeral services, with full military honors, will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Edward Umbach officiating.
Mr. Miller was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a GySgt after 22 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Miller of the home; one daughter, Rebecca Miller of Jacksonville; one son, Chris Miller and his wife, Samantha of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Samantha Miller-Barnes, Ryan Yates and Anthony Yates; his parents, Sam and Betty Miller of Knoxville, TN; three brothers, Michael J. Miller and his wife, Cathy of Holland, NJ, Larry E. Miller of Jacksonville, FL and Gary H. Miller and his wife, Jocelyn of Jacksonville, FL; and one sister, Connie J. Umbach and her husband, Ed of Lenoir City, TN.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.
