HOLLY RIDGE  -  Sandra Lee Hammonds, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.. A memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Ottaway Family Cemetery, 276 Ottaway Avenue, Holly Ridge, NC 28445.

Ms. Hammonds was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee Hammonds and Annie Lou Hester; her son, Steven Carlyle

Sandra was the most beautiful, amazing, and loving woman anyone could know. She loved her family with all her heart and would move mountains to be there for them. Sandra worked for many years at Tritech Forensics as a dedicated Quality Control Specialist, where she took great pride in her work and the friendships she built. She found peace and happiness in the simple joys in life - spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Sandra's warmth, kindness, and love for her family and friends will be remembered forever.

Survivors include her daughters; Sherri Cox (Mike) of Clayton, Candice Cox (Chris) of Leland and Thoressa Carlyle (Brandon) of Monroe, her grandchildren; Jeffrey McDowell, Christian Cox (Rachel), Samantha Knox (Charlie) and Steven Carlyle, Jr., her great grandchildren; Ryland, Miller, Kayleigh, Elena, Aubree, Lucus, Kason and Scarlett, her sisters; Elizabeth Ottaway (Andy) of Holly Ridge, Debra Buenrostro (Vicente) of Bladenboro, Becky Freeman of Bladenboro, Pamela Palacios of Leland, her brothers; Terry Hammonds (Rene) of Holly Ridge and William Hammonds (Candice) of Kernersville.
