Sandra (Sandy) Marie Mincer of Jacksonville, NC left us on Friday, August 28, 2026 with her loving family by her side. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. 

Sandy was born in Philadelphia, PA and then moved north with her mother and 2 brothers at a young age. She graduated from Sayre Area High School and then carried out a career in heating, plumbing and electrical.

Her artistic expression was pure, making beach art out of acrylic, sand, seashells and sharks teeth that she and her husband carefully picked from the nearby beaches that they lived by. She was a life long fan to the Philadelphia Eagles that she inherited from her late mother. Her heart grew 10 times the size when riding Harley Davidson’s with her husband, the smile she had on her face every time would light the world, wind therapy sessions were never long enough for Sandy, giddy up.

Sandy will be remembered for her beautiful smile, smart remarks (she was real quick with them), her contagious laugh and her comfort meals if you knew anything about her she cooked for an army.

If you were on her list, you know, the ones that took care of her when she was ill list, the ones that were on her daily list of “I haven’t talked to them yet today”, the ones on her snail mail birthday card list, her Christmas card list, or her “I know I wrote their number down somewhere” list.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Harry Alan Mincer, her daughter- Valerie Kay, brothers-Mark and Robert Stefanik, cousin- Eileen McJackson, her grandchildren, Kellin, Haylee, Declan, Neveah, Carson, Eliana, Braya and Isaiah, aunts, uncles, cousins.
