Sara Michelle Campbell, 41, passed away at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC, after a long and hard-fought battle with stage 4 cancer. She was born November 2, 1984, in Virginia Beach, VA.

Sara was passionate about learning and education and developed a strong interest in the sciences, eventually leading to a Bachelor’s in Chemistry as well as a BSN Nursing degree. Her love of learning never dampened. She also loved to be creative and enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching, and traveling.

She is survived by her children, son Ethan and daughters Ava, Adrianna, and Annaliese; her grandchildren Brooklyn and Forrest; her mother Diane Gergely; her father Joshua and his wife Shirl Parsons; her brother Brian and his wife Kendra Parsons; her sister Kristine Parsons as well as her 5 children; and her paternal grandmother Annette Parsons.

Sara’s favorite quote was “You can’t do all the good in the world, but the world needs all the good you can do.”

A private celebration of life will be held on September 12, 2026, with details to be made available
