JACKSONVILLE. - Anyone that had the privilege of knowing Sherry Jarman, knew without a shadow of a doubt that she loved her Savior Jesus Christ, and lived her life in a way that was pleasing to him!! On Monday evening, October 7, 2024 at 7:45 PM, she met her Savior face to face!! After meeting her Lord, no doubt, the love of her life, John Jarman, was waiting with open arms to welcome her to their eternal home!! What a reunion that must have been!!
Sherry was born in Fresno, California on April 26, 1941. As a young child, her family moved to Kinston, NC where she met her future husband. They were married on June 2, 1961. In 1967, she and John moved to Jacksonville, NC. where she worked at several jobs, including Johnson Funeral Home and at Bell Fork Elementary School in Jacksonville for 9 years. In 1978, she and John purchased and managed Twin Pines Mobile Home Park where they lived until 2020. After John's death in 2020, she moved to Richlands, NC to be closer to her son Blake.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Clema Warenfelt, her brother, Phil Warenfelt, and her sister Brenda Booth.
She is survived by her son, Blake Jarman, and wife, Angela of Richlands, NC, Tony Jarman of Greenville, NC, and Donna Gilbert and husband, Brandon of Rocklin, CA. She has 6 grandchildren: Evan Jarman and wife, Colbie of Richlands, NC, Mikaela Mariner and husband, Zack of Avon, CT, Noah Jarman and Rachael Jarman of Ringgold, GA, Garrett Gilbert of Rockland, CA, and Riley Gilbert of USN, deployed overseas. One sister, Roberta Kincaid of Charlotte, NC, and brother Steve Warenfelt of GA, 3 great-grandchildren: Cooper and Brooks Jarman of Richlands, NC, and Judah Mariner of Avon, CT, also several nieces and nephews.
Any given Sunday, you could find Sherry worshipping at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Jacksonville, NC where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. No doubt, our loss is definitely heaven's gain!!
The visitation will be on Wednesday, October 9th from 6:00-8:00 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Funeral services will held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 100 Half Moon Church Road, Jacksonville, NC 28546. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.
