EMERALD ISLE  -  Shirley Simpson Bourquin, 83, of Emerald Isle, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025 at River Point Nursing and Rehabilitation.  A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Bourquin was born August 16, 1941 in Wilmington, NC to the late Woodrow and Dorothy Drew Warlick Simpson.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved having her family around her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Simpson and her husband, Stu Bourquin.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby (Donna),  Randy and Rusty Bourquin, all of Emerald Isle; granddaughter, Morgan Blair Bourquin of Charlotte; and a sister, Vicky Lane of Beulaville.
