Jacksonville, NC -- Shirley M. Hardison, 76, died Friday, November 12, 2021 at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, (Nov. 20, 2021), at 11:00am at the Freedom PFW Baptist Church on Blue Creek Road with the Rev. Willie Robinson officiating.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Varon Collier Murphy and her daughter, Carla Klutts.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirleen Powers of Jacksonville; sons, George Darren Morton and Carl Jason Hardison both of Jacksonville; sisters, Linda Murphy and Edna Murphy both of Richlands and Sybil Gerughty of Montana; brother, Wayne Murphy of Jacksonville along with 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
