Shirley Minnick Reynolds, 93, affectionately known as Mimi to her family, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 30, 1932, in Union Bridge, MD, she was the cherished daughter of Charles and Dorothy Minnick.

Shirley pursued her education, earning a teaching degree from Madison College (now James Madison University).

She shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, John Archer Reynolds, who preceded her in death in 2004. Together, they enjoyed a lifetime of adventures, playing golf, bridge, and traveling the world.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Terry Mathisen (Mike), Sandy Wood, and Chuck Reynolds (Pam); six grandchildren, David Mathisen (Shay), Kelly Wood, Brent Mathisen (Amanda), Michael Reynolds  (Kristina) James Reynolds (Imma) and Rachel Reynolds; and five great-grandchildren, Lola Mathisen, Kai Mathisen, Dominik Reynolds, Amelia Mathisen, and Mae Mathisen.

Funeral arrangements and services will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
