Shirley Ann Hill, 83 of Jacksonville, passed away Friday morning at Onslow Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25th , 11 AM, at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville with Rev. Joshua McCord officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Wilmington following the service at 1:30 PM.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Freeman Shaw Hill, grandson Josh Johnson, and her parents Woodrow and Lutrecia Vause. She is survived by her daughter Edith "Eve" Johnson of Winston Salem, NC, sons Kenneth Johnson and wife Robin of Jacksonville, and Kevin Johnson and wife Dawn of Winston Salem, NC; sisters Sandra Coker of Cheraw, SC and Zan Spurgeon and husband Mike of Hot Springs, VA; granddaughter Brittney Johnson, and several step children, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
