Cape Carteret- Steven Mark Jones, 62, passed away at his home on August 18, 2026. He was born on February 7, 1964, in Hampton, VA.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mark was a supervisor in the brick mason industry and loved to make stone and brick work as beautiful as could be. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Bethany Wisnewski of Hubert, Bridget Jones of Hubert, and Timothy Jones of AL; ten grandchildren; mother, Brenda Martin of the home; siblings, David Jones of Peletier, Lynn Jones of Wilmington, and Debra Jones of Newport; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Jones and his step-father, Ed Martin.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
