Susan Marie Davis (62) of Avon, CT passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021 at home peacefully with family by her side.  Sue was born June 3, 1958 in Morehead, MN.  Grateful to have lived in many different places growing up, including Minnesota, Illinois, Washington, Connecticut and during the last few months, North Carolina (also a special family lake home in Maine).  Sue had immense love & dedication for her family and friends; she was deeply loved by them all.  With a special dry sense of humor and wit, she could make you burst out in laughter; those close to her would laugh and understand when she would say she could be "inappropriately appropriate."  She enjoyed traveling in recent years with her close friend, and her sister and parents share innumerable memories of family trips through most of the US and a special trip to Italy.  Sue cherished the time with her children and the many vacations they shared growing up as a family.  She loved family camping trips from childhood to adulthood, and some of the best times would include (her favorite place) the beach.  She would say her favorite beach was St. Augustine, where her parents and sister lived for much of their lives, and where her and her family vacationed often.  Susan enjoyed watching her children during their formative years in sports (her son's baseball games and her daughter's extensive gymnastics competitions).  She had an adventurous spirit, loved to see new places and experience different cultures.  Sue had been looking forward to new adventures in her recent retirement and move near her parents with her only sibling, sister/best friend (whom she was extremely close with).  There are no words to describe how this loss will affect us all over our lifetimes but the loving memories will live on strongly in all our hearts forever; we will remember her with great joy and much laughter, just as she would have wanted.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her daughter, Monique Davis and her son, Darnell Davis both of CT; her sister, Debora Berg Jones of Hubert, NC; her parents, Arvid and Marlys (Munyon) Berg of Hubert, NC ; several nieces and nephews as well as close friends who were like family to her.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
