CLARKESVILLE, GA - Syble Teachey Holliday, 89, of Clarkesville, GA and previously of Holly Ridge, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at North Topsail Shores Baptist Church, with Pastor Dwayne Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Syble was born on March 31,1937, in Rose Hill, NC, to the late Willie Maynard Teachey and Elizabeth Honeycutt Teachey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell James Holliday; and her brother and sister-in-law, Jacob and Charlotte Teachey.

She operated Helping Hands, a non-profit thrift store in Holly Ridge, for several years. The store helped many needy people in the community. She previously worked with non-profits in Monroe, NC. She was a member of North Topsail Shores Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Marica Everett (Thomas, deceased) of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA, Tina Holliday of Mechanicsville, VA, and Russell Holliday of Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Colonel Ben Everett (Catherine) of Fort Campbell, KY and Ethan Everett (Aaron Michelle), of Chamblee, GA; great-grandchildren, Jubal, Georgia, and Maren Everett of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; brothers, William Teachey (Linda), and Noble Teachey (Jane), both of Rocky Point, NC; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
