Terry Michael Hoffman, 63, of Jacksonville died Wednesday, June 20 at his home. Terry retired from the USMC after 21 years. He was an avid softball player, playing in the Over 55 League and a member of Fleet Reserve Assoc. Branch 208. He served in the FRA as V President, Board of Directors, Scholarship Chairman and presently as Board Member at Large. A funeral service will be Saturday at 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, with Rev. Jason Brinker and Rev. Ricky Brown officiating. Burial will be Monday, June 25 at 1pm at Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury, NC with military honors.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Morris Hoffman, two sons, Bryan Hoffman of Jacksonville, and Michael Hoffman of Fort Mills, SC. He is also survived by a brother, Darryl Hoffman (Betty), a sister Gwen Crowe (Doyle) all of Salisbury, a sister in law Tricia Charles (Jerry), brothers in law; Buster (Gail) both of Lexington and Tony Morris of Thomasville and a god daughter, Emily Donovan of Gulfport, Ms. and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at Jones Funeral Home and following the graveside service on Monday, at the home of Gwen Crowe, 455 Murray Dr., Salisbury, NC.
