Fayetteville – Thomas Winfred Mobley, 76, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on May 11, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Mobley was born on September 22, 1949, in Fort Bragg, NC to the late Clarence Mobley and Dorothy Wright Mobley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Gayle Atkinson and brother-in-law, Mike Atkinson.

Thomas served 30 years in the United States Marine Corps, receiving 3 purple hearts, and retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant.

He is survived by his children, Thomas “Tom” Mobley, Tammy Rose, and William Mobley (Keri); grandchildren, Scott Mobley, Briggs Mobley, Trent Mobley, Madison Mobley, Maci Mobley, Caden Mobley, Wyatt Mobley, Ryan Mobley, and Travis Mobley; brother, Glenn Mobley, and mother of his children, Veronica Rose Mobley.
