Peletier- Timothy James Carpenter, 63, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born September 16, 1954 in Charlotte, NC son of the late, Johnnie Stewart and Sadie Elizabeth Honeycutt Carpenter.
A funeral service will be held Monday, March 5, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Silver Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Tim loved to spend time with his family, listening to music, and telling jokes, but his favorite thing of all was to spend time in the Bible learning more and more about Jesus. He faithfully served his country in the USMC and then he began a career with the USPS as a letter carrier.
He is survived by wife, Linda Carpenter of the home; daughter, Candace Marie Kort (Brent) of Peletier; son, Timothy James Carpenter, II (B.J.) of Newport; grandchildren, Caleb Carpenter, Kyle Kort, Maddy, Sadie, and Abby Grace Carpenter; brothers, Dr. John Carpenter (Helen) of Newport News, VA, Dan Carpenter (Judy) of Forest City, NC, and Chris Carpenter of Mt. Holly, NC; sisters, Judy Henderson of Belmont, NC and Sherry Walker of Simpsonville, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Silver Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church Youth fund or Building Fund, 518 Peletier Loop Rd., Cape Carteret, NC 28584.
