Timothy Bryan “Timmy” Sewell, 65, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.

Timmy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Banita Sewell, and his parents, Doris and Johnson Sewell.

He is survived by his stepson, Jonathan Stanley and wife Jenifer; grandchildren, Haiden Stanley and wife Abby, great-granddaughter Sadie Stanley, and Liam Stanley; brothers, Jeffrey Sewell and wife Debbie, and Rodney Sewell and wife Ginger; and special aunt and uncle, Diane and Sherman Snodgrass.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, at Hicks Run Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Verona Baptist Church or the Verona Fire Department.
