Troy W. Humphrey Jr. of Jacksonville, N.C. went home to be with his Lord Tuesday June 13th. Born on December 14, 1922 he recently celebrated his 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19 at 2:00pm at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Rev. Douglas Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Troy was a World War II veteran in the Navy where he served aboard the USS Luna in the Pacific. After his military service he became a successful businessman but is best remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

He is preceded in death by his devoted wife Pauline, his son Donald, brother Henry, sisters Kathlene Bolware, Iris Peed, Sarah Waller and Dorothy Shepherd.

He leaves behind his sister Eunice Fisher, daughter Paula McArthur and her husband Rob, son David and his wife Rhonda, son Doug and his wife Susan, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, with one on the way!

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered!

The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville beginning at 1:00pm prior to the service on June 19th.
