Trenton- Velisa Kaye Jones, 56, passed away on Thursday, May 8,2025 at Vident Healthcare in Greenville. She was born April 21,1969 in Lenoir County, NC, a daughter of the late Jerry McKinley Ham and Brenda Howard Houston.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, May 12,2025 at 7:00pm in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home-Richlands with Rev. Ernie King officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Velisa was a cook at Hardees and loved to see people enjoy her cooking, but her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jeffrey Stuart Jones of the home; three children, Christopher Ham (Samantha) of Lagrange, Pansy Majette (Mario) of Trenton, and James Jones of Trenton; grandchildren, Ashlie-Marie, Mario, Jr., Kayden, Zayden, Amiyah, Aniyah, Renesmee, Remington, Gabriyel, Marianna, Kylie, Kelab, and Autumn; sisters, Evelyn Worley of Trenton and Tammy Westbrook of Seven Springs; and a brother, William Hamof Kinston.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort EMS, on behalf of Velisa's family.
