Victoria M. Heffernan

February 17, 1940 – July 31, 2025

Victoria M. Heffernan, 85, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and formerly of New York City, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, with her family lovingly gathered around her.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Victoria is survived by her loving daughter, Frances I. Pierce; her sons, John V. Heffernan and Daniel J. Heffernan and his wife Cindy B. Heffernan. She also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Julianna M. Bell, Dakota V. Pierce, Victor P. Heffernan, Sean E. Heffernan, Morgan M. Heffernan, Hannah G. Heffernan, Noah A. O'Conney, and Taylor L. O'Conney; and six beloved great-grandchildren, Kaliyah M. Bell, Maverick J. Bell, Elliot R. O'Conney, Miles G. O'Conney, Billie B. O'Conney & Teddie J. O'Conney. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she was deeply proud of each of them.

Victoria now joins her beloved husband, John P. Heffernan, in eternal rest — a reunion of two hearts forever connected.

Vicki had a generous spirit and a servant's heart. She volunteered with Onslow Memorial Hospital as a dedicated "Pink Lady" for over 33 years, offering comfort, support, and kindness to countless patients and families. Her commitment to her community was unwavering and deeply felt by those she served.

She loved to travel and embraced every opportunity to explore new places, making lasting memories along the way. Her adventurous soul, compassionate nature, and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at Onslow Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor Victoria's memory.
