Wanda Davis Bennett, a devoted mother, loyal friend, and tender-hearted soul, passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 65. She was born on December 16, 1959, in Jacksonville, NC.

Wanda was known for her passionate love for her family and friends. She was dependable and caring presence in the lives of those around her. Her love for life was evident in the simple things she enjoyed, such as playing Candy Crush, sipping on Starbucks Carmel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino's, and savoring Biscuitville's delicious biscuits. Music was also a big part of her life, particularly the country sounds of Luke Bryan.

Wanda was a loyal companion to her husband, Gene Bennett, and a devoted mother to her children: Crystal Heath, Wen Marshburn and his wife Leah, Mitchell Marshburn and his wife Tiffany, and Jeremy Marshburn and his girlfriend Shara Sommer. She adored her grandchildren: Chandler Walter, Austin Marshburn, Taylor Heath, Haylee Marshburn, Savannah Welch-Smith, and Addy Marshburn.

Wanda is also survived by her brother, Gary Davis, and his wife Wanda. Her sister Donna Thomas and her husband Billy. She had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that loved and adored her spirted personality.

A private service will be held on Sunday, May 18, at 11:00 am at E J Davis Cemetery in Richlands, NC.

Wanda's legacy will live on through the countless memories and love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire and warm the hearts of those who knew her.
