RICHLANDS - Rupert Willard Lumley passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Richlands Chapel.

Mr. Linley was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Florine Dean Lumley; and three brothers, Ernest Lumley (the late Evelyn), Larry Lumley (the late Lynn), and Harvey Lumley (Mary Jo).

He is survived by his beloved wife, Vee Lumley of 44 years; daughters, Amy Weatherspoon (Bob) and Amber Lumley; brothers, Odell Lumley (the late Sonja) and Keith Lumley (Katie); sister, Geraldine Lumley; sister-in-law, Christy Marshburn (Keith); brother-in-law, Ronnie Futrell; granddaughters, Nicole Edwards (Torrence) and Brooke Padgett (Casey); four great-grandchildren, Blaze, Avery, Melanie, and Natalie; and several dear nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the wonderful Hospice team from Gentiva Health Services for their care, comfort and support over the past 19 months.
