Obituary

William Everett Arnold, 55 of Holly Ridge, passed peacefully surrounded by family on December 28, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Folkstone Original Freewill Baptist Church at 11:00am with Rev. David Hansely and Rev. Jody Yopp officiating. A burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park at 1pm.

William graduated from Dixon High School where he played football. William dedicated 25 years to the fire service at Camp Lejeune Fire and Emergency Services where he retired as an Assistant Fire Chief. Overall, William dedicated 35 years to the volunteer side of the fire service. In March of 2012, William received an award for his exemplary service to the State of North Carolina, The Order of the Long Leaf Pine. This was awarded by the NC Office State Fire Marshal, Wayne Goodwin on behalf of Governor Beverly Perdue. William was a loving Christian husband, father, son, brother, and pappy. He had a servant's heart and always knew where there was a need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Arnold of Holly Ridge; his daughters, Camille and Taylor Jones of Hampstead and Cecily Arnold of Sneads Ferry; his son, Avery and Marissa Arnold of Sneads Ferry; his stepdaughters, Sara Hill of Columbia, SC, Ellen Helms of Savannah, GA, and Meaghan and Brian Meanor of Sneads Ferry; his stepson, Matthew Williams of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; his parents, Bill and Shirley Arnold; his sister Louise and JR Parker of Sneads Ferry; his brother Daniel and Linda Arnold of Topsail Beach; his in-laws, Kolby and Sandra Baker of Elm City, NC; and his sister-in-law, Emily Johnson of Kenley, NC.

The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home in Holly Ridge on January 2 from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
