SNEADS FERRY – William "Bill" Henderson, 94, was born on July 22,1930 in Onslow County and died Thursday, December 5, 2024 at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Folkstone Original Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Kimble and Rev. Tommy Yopp officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.

Mr. Bill will be long remembered for his friendly smile, his kind demeanor and as a caring husband.  He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Henderson and Florence Blake Henderson; sisters, Florence Henderson, Emily Fry, Merlene Lake and Annie Hines; brothers, Jerry Henderson, Erenest Henderson, Clifton Henderson and Charles Henderson; one daughter Stacy Faye Yopp.

He is survived by one daughter and two sons, Evelyn Faye Henderson Yopp, Charles Edward Henderson and William Henderson, all of Sneads Ferry; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday morning, prior to the service, beginning at 10:30 at the church.
