William Shawn Lester, 57, of Midway Park, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, in his home.  Memorial services will be held at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Roosevelt Drive Church of Christ with Preacher Jim Bender officiating.

Mr. Lester was preceded in death by his father, Paul Altizer and his brother, Tim Altizer.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Melissa Lester of the home; one son, Joshua "Corey" Lester of Jacksonville; two daughters, Jessica Courtney Phillips and her husband, Robert of Jacksonville and Brittany Morgan Lester and her husband, Joshua Phelps of Jacksonville; his mother, Brenda Martinez and step-father, Israel of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, Elijah Shawn, Kelsea Pearl, Emmalyn Alaina, Nickolas Kingsley, Addison Harper, Piper Jolene and Willow Jane; two sisters, Jenese Holbrook and her husband, Mark of Jacksonville and Angela Williams of Jacksonville; one brother, Michael Martinez of Orlando, FL; and his aunt, Linda Jernigan of Jacksonville; among many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, prior to the service, beginning at 5:30 PM at the church.
