ROXBORO  -  Louise Roberts Lamb, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Roxboro, NC. In keeping with the wishes of Ms. Lamb, there will be no funeral services. A private gathering for the interment of ashes will be held at Seaside Memorial Park in Swansboro, NC, at a later date.

Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Basel Dewey (Heck) Roberts and Annie Louise Weaver Roberts. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Hubert Lawrence Lamb, son Jerry Wayne Stigall, sister Peggy Jean Roberts, and brother George (GP) Roberts.

Surviving are her two nieces, Wilma Odum Harris (Mike) and Lori Odum Clayton (Scott), and a great-niece, Jennifer Nicole Parker.

Ms. Lamb worked for Durham Hosiery Mill and Kayser-Roth Corporation until she retired in the early 1980s. She then worked at Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle as a Pier Manager for the next 20 years. Affectionately known as "Sarge" to many locals, Ms. Lamb was an exemplary employee who never missed a day in 20 years, according to her boss, Mike Stanley.
