HUBERT  -  Belinda Frazier Howard, 73, passed away Tuesday May 10, 2022 at the home of her daughter with her family by her side.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Queens Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Gandy officiating.  Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.  

Mrs. Howard was born September 17, 1948 in Onslow County to the late Michael and Clara Bell Odum Frazier.  She graduated from Swansboro High School in 1966 and became the first woman mayor of Hubert on a dare.  Belinda lived her life to the fullest always looking on the bright side loving her family and always helping others.  In her early years she was a dialysis nurse and helped many people with kidney disease and later in home health in Jones County.  She always loved her patients and it was never a job it was a pleasure.  She operated TLC Daycare in Hubert for several years.  Her love of helping the elderly corresponded into helping children with mental and physical issues.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlotte Holden, Jr. and her second husband, Ottis Howard; son, John Holden and son in law, Jason Cox.

Survivors include her daughters, Michelle Phillips (Don) of Hubert, Rebecca Cox of Hubert, and Wanda Davis of Richlands; grandchildren, Alexandria, Claudia, Chenera, and Brandon; sister, Connie Taylor (George) of Hubert; nephew, Michael Taylor of Jacksonville; and a lifelong friend, Cherry Hobbs of Cape Carteret.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel.
