Obituary

JACKSONVILLE  -  Dorothy Banks, 90, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, August 4, 2022.  Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.  

Mrs. Banks was born on July 7, 1932 in Cleaveland, Ohio to the late Paul Ziats and Anna Gadovicik Ziats.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Banks; six sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Coit (Tom) of Carolina Beach, Lisa Statler (Mark) of Jacksonville, John Banks (Bundy Merrill) of Jacksonville and Steve Banks (Jan) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Shannon, Christopher, Ashley, Spenser and Tucker; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Ava, Rhett, Elena, Gabriel, Jazmin and Trey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
