HUNTERSVILLE - Elizabeth “Betty” Fuller, 94, died January 10, 2022, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Memorial services will be held in late winter or early spring at St. John’s Baptist Church, 300 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC with interment at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chaplain William "Bill" C. Fuller, Retired Captain USN; and her son, William Louis Fuller.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Fuller Garris (Berle); daughter-in-law, Nancy Edwards Fuller; her grandchildren, Katie Philips Cothern (Brian), Sarah Fuller Cromer (Chip), Brooks Fuller (Casey), Heath William Garris (Ashley), Nathaniel Berle Garris (Jordan), Izzy Philips Hayes (Lane), Maddie Philips Minogue (Domhnall), and Adam Brafman Philips (Amanda); and her great-grandchildren, Aiden Burns, Brian Cothern, Samantha Cothern, Angela Cothern (Jason Jagan), Penelope Garris, Paige Garris, Fuller Garris, Caleb Garris, Shepherd Hayes, Boone Hayes, Cian Minogue, Liam Philips and Grace Philips; and one great-great-granddaughter, Arya Jagan.
A Navy Chaplain’s wife she ministered alongside her husband, Bill during his thirty years of military service to the Navy and Marine Corps. After Bill’s passing, she made her
home in Charlotte, NC.
Her home in the last twenty plus years was Plantation Estates, later renamed Matthews Glen, in Matthews, NC. Her family would like to thank the caring staff and friends who
loved her so well. Many thanks are also offered to the exceptional care givers from Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
Loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, Betty will be remembered for her deep faith in God and deep love for her family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. John’s Baptist Church.
