John William Ricker, Jr., 84, formerly of Ringwood, NJ, passed away Tuesday evening at his son's home in Jacksonville. John was a lifetime founding member and Chief of Ringwood Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 for over 47 years.
Services will be announced by the family at a later date.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years, Marilyn Ricker of the home; son John Joseph Ricker Sr. and wife Joanna of Jacksonville, daughter Debbie Ricker of Milford, DE, daughter Donna Ritz and husband Gordon of Brick, NJ, son Donald Robert Ricker of West Milford, NJ, and son Tyler Ricker of the home; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and a sister Frieda Stevens of California.
