Obituary

JACKSONVILLE  -  Letcher Steryl Landis, 88, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at his home.  Graveside funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Landis was born on June 9, 1933 in Beard, West Virginia to the late Ray Landis and Margie Kidd Landis.

In addition to his parents, Letcher was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl Landis and Curtis Landis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sadako Landis, of the home; sons, Curtis E. Landis (Sandi) of Jacksonville,  and George Landis of Fuquay-Varnia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Waugh of West Harrison, IN and Charolette Davis (Junior) of Marlinton, WV; brother, Roy L. Landis (Suzie) of Marlinton; sister-in-law, Carolyn Landis of Sisterville, WV; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
