SNEADS FERRY - Maurice Hobbs Ennett Andrews passed peacefully in her sleep 26 January 2022 and was preceded in death by her husbands, Gene Carroll Ennett, Sr. and Julius Love Andrews; and three children at childbirth. In addition, she was preceded by her mother, Virginia Dare Hartsfield; her father, Major Rodolph Hobbs; her stepmother, Faye Hobbs and half-sister, Debbie Hobbs; her sister, Janice Gaines; a very special aunt, Daisy Mills and her husband, a very special uncle, Flavious Josephus Hartsfield; and many other members of the Hartsfield Family.
She is survived by her son, Gene Ennett, Jr. and wife, Tammy; grandsons, Jerry and Jason Ennett; granddaughter, Michele and (Nathan); one sister, Millie Pretchel and her family; and niece, Harley Ennett Jones and her family. In addition, she is survived by two half-sisters, Diane and Sherry; and one half-brother, Johnny and their families. She is also survived by a great-grandson, Crue Ennett; a great-granddaughter, Natalie Franko; and a very special young man and friend, Michael Jenkins.
She was a dedicated member of Salem Baptist Church and the Eastern Star and worked for many years as a librarian at Dixon High School. She loved her son and grand children more than life itself.
Services will be held at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel on Sunday, January 30. Visitation will start at 1:00 PM and services will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow immediately at the Ennett Cemetery on Ennett Lane in Sneads Ferry.
The family will receive visitors at the home of Gene and Tammy Ennett.
