SWANSBORO - Norman Omer Theriault, 93, of Swansboto, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with his family by his side. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mildred Catholic Church with Rev. Dave Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Mr. Theriault was born December 7, 1928 in Madawaska, ME to the late Denis and Irene Pelletier Theriault. He faithfully served his country in the US Air Force where he received a bronze star and retired as recreation services-superintendent at the rank of CMSgt on July 31, 1978. After his military service he was a maintenance supervisor at a Health Club in CA. He and his wife, Sally managed a motel together in Havelock before retiring to Swansboro. He was a faithful member of St. Mildred Catholic Church and loved to spend time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine “Sally” Theriault of Swansboro; daughters, Pamela Theriault and Victoria Jones both of Newport News, VA; sons, Steven Theriault of Newport News, VA, Gary Theriault of Newport, NC, and Michael Theriault of Taylor, PA; seven grandchildren and three step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren; brother, Roger Theriault of Nashua, NH; and sisters, Patricia Hudick of Great Falls, MT and Lorraine Gosselin of FL.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel.
