Cape Carteret- Robert “Bob” G. Kvalevog, 78, passed away Sunday September 13, 2020 at Carteret Healthcare. He was born December 31, 1941 in Pontiac, MI son of the late, Henry and Paula Miller Kvalevog.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later time.
Bob served his country in the US Air Force and was in the Vietnam War and retired after 20 years of service. He then began a career as a corrections officer in Alaska. He filled his personal time participating in every sport and when he could no longer dominate a sport he began to officiate. He actually spent a lot of time playing billiards in Alaska and rubbed elbows with Fats Dominos in his early career. He won Nationals in Las Vegas and continued playing when he moved NC. He loved spending time with his brother fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon Ann Kvalevog of the home; daughters, Kimberly Purdy (Dan) of AK and Nicole Moneymaker (Ryan) of Cape Carteret; son, Robert S. Kvalevog of AK; grandchildren, Devin Purdy, April Purdy, Madalyn Truett, Cameron Truett, and Alice Alexandria Kvalevog; brothers, Tom, Larry, Douglas Kvalevog all of MI, and Stephen Kvalevog of Washington, DC; sisters, Lori Hardwick of IN, Mari Smith, and Joye Kvalevog, Kara Vines all of MI.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Wade and Johnnie Kvalevog and sisters, Tina and Christina Marie Kvalevog.
