JACKSONVILLE-Mother Rose Pittman was born December 14, 1948 in New Bern, NC. Mother Pittman departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 29th at Onslow Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late James H. Green, Sr. and Mamie B. Green, whom proceeded her in death. Mother Pittman was also proceeded in death by her son, Gary Pittman, her sisters: Kathy Green, Evangelene G. Waddell, Teresa Green, Bernard Green, and Jimmy Green.
Mother Pittman attended W.S. King High School and was a graduate of West Carteret High School in 1966. Mother Pittman was in the work force on several different jobs and was always the highlight of the workplace, Newport, NC
Mother Pittman was a faithful member of Shiloh Apostolic Church where she served faithful as a dedicated member until her death. Mother Pittman served on several departments; Mother Board, Mother Board Choir, Church Secretary, and the Missionary Department. Mother Pittman was well respected in her local church and always kept the crowd joyful with her personable and likable personality. Mother Pittman has always displayed a life that was after the things of Christ. Mother Pittman never met a stranger, she loved everyone and always tried to make everyone feel loved and special. Mother Pittman was well respected and filled with laughter, her jokes always kept those she encountered, with a smile on their face.
Mother Rose Pittman leaves to cherish her loving memories to; her sons, Quinton Pittman, Shaquille Pittman, Corey Pittman, all of Jacksonville, NC; her daughters, Cyntheia Pittman, of Rocky Mount, NC, Renee Pittman, of Atlanta, GA; 4 grandchildren; Anthony & Arron Pittman, Bingi Hicks, and Sarayah Robinson; brothers, James Green of New Bern, NC, and Larry Green of Dallas TX; sisters, Gloria Tootle (George) of the Bouge Sound Community, Janet Curtis (Elmore), of Newport, NC, Lisa Washington, Tammy Sampson and Jackie German, all of Havelock, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and beloved friends.
