Bernard Lee Riggs, 77 of Maysville died Friday February 21, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Riggs was born in Maysville (Onslow County) May 27, 1942 to the late John Wiley and Lela Mae Wells Riggs and was also preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Brown and two brothers, Joseph Riggs and Clayton Riggs.  Mr. Riggs was a machinist at the Nuclear Reactor for G E.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday February 29, 2020 at the Riggs Family Cemetery on Riggs Road, Maysville, with Reverend Steven Grissom officiating.

Surviving his son, James "Jimmy" Richard Riggs and his wife Catherine of Rocky Point, Foster Daughter, Angela Yopp Johnston and her husband Larry of Leland and one sister, Velma Sharp of Havelock, eight grandchildren, Sarah Riggs of Burgaw, Susan Aman of Burgaw, Carmen Riggs of Rocky Point, Alicia Riggs of Rocky Point, James Riggs, Jr. of Boone, Abiegail Reynolds of Raleigh, Briannia Johnston, Leland, Larry Johnston, Jr. of Leland, five great grandchildren, Tony Hernandez, Luke Humphreys, Jayden Aman, Zephyria Aman and Emilia Turner.
