February 27, 1938 – May 2, 2018
Hubert- Carroll Wilson Suddreth, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his home with his wife and family by his side. He was born February 27, 1938 in Hudson, NC.
Two celebrations of life services will be held. The first on May 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Clover Baptist Church, Granite Falls, NC; the second at Christian Life Center, Jacksonville, NC at a later date.
Carroll served his country in the US Air Force for 23 years, was a Vietnam Veteran and retired with the rank of MSgt. After retirement, he worked at Camp Lejuene Marine Corps Base for 10 years. He was an avid fisherman, loved being on the water and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by wife of 45 years, Gillian A. Suddreth of the home; son, Michael Scott Suddreth of Spokane, WA; daughter, Christie Shawn Suddreth-Dunn (Stefanie) of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Devan Michael Dunn, Ashley Nicole Whatley (Travis) of SC and Sierra Michelle Suddreth of WA Kayla Owens of SC; great granddaughter, Grace Ann Whatley of SC; brother, Gerald Suddreth (Paula) of Greensboro; sisters-in-law, Mary and Kay Suddreth; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, McCoy Edgar and Inez Bowman Suddreth; sisters, Lorraine (Floyd), Irene (Troy), and Essie (Glen); brothers, Bob and Bill; and a faithful black lab, Sinbad.
