SNEADS FERRY- David Alden Robblee, 80, of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina died on May 18, 2022 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center.
David was born on July 4, 1941 in Salem, Massachusetts to the late Perry Robblee and Florence Bower Robblee.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Robblee.
David's life-long career was devoted to Uncle Sam, specifically the United States Air Force working missile maintenance. He served active duty for over 20 years and then changed uniforms and worked civil service for the full life of the Peacekeeper missile system.
Masonic heritage was important to David and he was involved in many Masonic organizations at the local, state and international levels. He worked with the local Bethels of Job's Daughters International in Cheyenne, WY and served as Associate Grand Guardian of Wyoming and as Associate Supreme Guardian at the international level. He served as Chapter Dad for the Cheyenne Chapter of the Order of DeMolay and received the Legion of Honor Degree. David was a 50 year member, 32nd Degree Master Mason and a Past Master of Burns Lodge #41 and Acacia Lodge #11in Wyoming and a member of Semper Fidelis Lodge in Jacksonville, NC. He is also a Past Worthy Patron of Mizpah Chapter #36 in Cheyenne, WY and a member of Jacksonville Chapter #327 Order of Eastern Star in NC. These experiences allowed him to make many friends throughout the world.
David is survived by his loving wife, Karen Robblee, of the home; children, Patricia Robblee of Jacksonville, NC, Elizabeth Davis (Allen) of Granbury, TX and Mark Robblee (Samantha) of Lingle, WY; his two dogs, Boston and Izzy; life-long best friends, Ed Callahan, Dave Whitmore, Donnie Femino, all of Salem, Mass., Jim Wimmer of Oklahoma and John Nolan of Hollister, CA.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 12:30 PM at First United Methodist Church of Sneads Ferry with the Rev. Rob Licht presiding. A graveside with military honors and Masonic Gravesite Rites will immediately follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
