On May 6, 2014 our mother, Dorothy Louise Abel Peters, departed her earthbound body and soared into Heaven. She joyfully reunited with her daughters, Carol and Marilyn, and with many other family members awaiting her arrival. She left on earth her daughters Diana Brinkman, Linda Bergman and Rebecca Peters Reichert, along with many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She left with us a special love that everyone who knew her will always feel. The family will receive friends and a service will be held at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, North Carolina at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014. Burial alongside her beloved husband, Benjamin Peters, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at Montford Point will take place directly after the service.
